If you know how to read a natal chart well, it can explain your guiding life themes, character attributes, resources, relationship and family dynamics, physical, mental and emotional health, community connections, triumphs and losses, fears and hopes. All of this information is incredibly useful for understanding and communicating who you are and what your purpose is.
I created this lesson because most astro-curious people I know enjoy tapping into their horoscope but often struggle to understand how the chart actually works.
I created this guide because I know people who feel frustrated that they don’t relate to their “sign”. Often people don’t relate because they can’t see the whole picture - or more likely, an algorithm can’t capture it.
Did you know the astrology app Co-star recently put out an ad for writers that didn’t require people applying for the position to be actual astrologers? They let people who don’t know what they’re doing tell the masses who they are and how to be via fake astrological advice.
I know people who think astrology is equivalent to “psychic” practice when it’s actually pretty scientific and logical.
I have friends who feel both excited by and distrustful of astrological forecasts and delineations precisely because those people don’t explain why or how it works in a coherent way. Their distrust isn’t misplaced - there’s a lot of fake or uneducated astrological information out there.
I’ve also met people who are diving into astrology who are unknowingly mixing techniques from different traditions and consequently, getting those techniques wrong.
If you’re new to astrology, or just fed up with struggling to understand your natal chart, this lesson offers my professional take on some key things you need to know.
