A month long exploration of the astrological third house.

The third house in astrology is often glossed over as an unimportant place. Classified by ancient astrologers as "the least good of the good and the least bad of the bad", third house delineations are strangely and specifically vague. Much of the significance of the third house has been lost in transmission and conflation with modern astrology. Still, most third house significations are primarily rooted in lunar worship, religious ceremony, rites of sacrament, and profound spirituality. This course will examine the ancient theories, myths, and images which inform third house significance and guide participants with a framework for developing a unique and sustainable third house praxis.

This course is for you if...

If you are a skeptic who often finds yourself stuck at the threshold of believing, this course will offer a plethora of psycho-mythical knowledge that acts as a diving board into belief. It will also offer practices to land that sense of divine synchronicity in your body and re-member your connection with spirit.
If you are working through unfathomable grief, this course will give you ideas, strategies and celestial support for holding that which is often irrational and exhausting, while also re-membering your capacity to move grief through the body and be held yourself.
If you desire pleasure and contentment without erasing justified pain and rage, this course will give you tools to experience the breadth and depth of sensation and help you re-member genuine joy in the face of oppressive environments.

What is the format of the course?

The course will take place over one month, from June 21 - July 21, 2023. It will include:

Four live lecture calls held on Mondays 4:30-6pm PST. Lecture will be followed by live Q&A. Each call will be recorded and uploaded to the podia course for participants to watch in case they can't make the live class.
Weekly journal prompts.
Weekly prescriptions for embodiment exercises.
Weekly lists of resources for further exploration.
Space for connection, comments and conversation via podia between classes.

Each week will present on a different aspect of the third house space. Through these themes, we will build the third house temple from its innermost to outermost significations. Participants are encouraged to do as much of the "homework" as possible, and to share and connect with one another outside of class about their third house experiences.

There is an optional add-on of a 45min 1:1 astrological natal chart consult with me in which we will explore your personal third house.

Priced as is for everyone - the choice of tier should not inform whether or not you select the add-on. How much astrology do I need to know to take this course?
I designed this course to be accessible to a range of astrological know-how. It is less technically inclined and more focused on meaning in mythos and embodied ritual practice. If you’ve cast your chart before and you have a rudimentary understanding of the planets, signs and houses, you’re good. If you have less than this amount of knowledge, you will likely be able to catch the essentials quickly.

If you are concerned about not having the appropriate technical skillset but really feel this course is for you, I recommend adding a 45min 1:1 session. This way we can get you up to speed real quick.

I’m a professional astrologer. Is this course too advanced for me?

Astrologer Professionals who would like a deeper understanding of the third house might really enjoy this course as it brings together multiple lineages of facts and ideas beyond what is traditionally listed in core texts. Astro-enthusiasts with less elaborate technical skillsets will be totally comfortable participating as well.
